It’s no secret that former President Donald Trump isn’t exactly a fan of global pop star Taylor Swift. Over the years, he’s taken several public jabs at her, especially after she began speaking out on political issues.
His most pointed criticism came during the 2024 presidential campaign, when Swift threw her support behind his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris. At the time, Swift remarked, “We can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,” a clear reference to Trump’s leadership style.
The tension didn’t stop there. During this year’s Super Bowl—an event Trump attended—Swift was met with boos from some of the crowd. Trump appeared to relish the moment, posting afterward:
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift.”
The clash between politics and pop culture continues—and neither side seems ready to back down.
He also re-shared a post from Libs of TikTok, which read: “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed—The world is healing!”
One time, he even posted “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
During his presidential rallies in 2023, Trump used the song Justice for All, sang by a group of dissidents incarcerated over their alleged roles on January 6. Eventually, the song reached the No. 1 spot on iTunes. It was more than enough for Trump to mock Swift.
“It beat Taylor Swift, it beat Miley Cyrus, who was number one and two,” Trump said. “They were number one and two, we knocked them off for a long time.”
So, it’s more than clear that Melania’s opinion of Swift differs from that of her husband.
